Bird Silhouette Birthday Card

I made this one using some papers from Making Cards and the bird punch by Stampin Up. As soon as I saw the background papers I thought they'd go well with the punch (and I didn't like the toppers that came with the backgrounds!).

The base is a black A5 card. On sheet of patterned paper is cut slightly smaller than A5 then topped with another paper cut slightly shorter and three quarters of the width. This is then wrapped with a black and white spotted ribbon. More of the bottom paper is used to cut another smaller piece which is stuck to one side of the first 'patch' and is topped with a black scalloped circle stuck. The other patterned paper is then used for a circle and more of the black card used to cut a bird on a branch which are mounted on the scalloped circle.

The card is then decorated with black pearls and a greeting printed on grey paper mounted on black card.
